NEWS: Every particle in the universe has a counterpart

In the previous section, we briefly discussed how all particles in the universe serve a unified purpose. Now, we will briefly explain the existence of these particles’ counterparts and how they relate to each other. The quickest way to understand whether all matter has counterparts is to look at whether the atoms moving within the matter have counterparts. The neutrons, protons, and electrons found in the smallest form of matter are made up of quarks. A quark is the smallest divisible particle of matter that makes up an atom. Furthermore, quarks have corresponding anti-quarks within matter. That is, the proton has its counterpart, the anti-proton; the electron has its counterpart, the anti-positron; and the neutron has its counterpart, the anti-neutron. The Holy Quran answered this pairing 1,618 years ago, stating, “…He created all things in pairs from what He has created on earth, from their own selves, and from things they do not know…”

The existence of multiple counterparts in a single universe, the continuity of life through the perpetuation of counterparts (such as sustenance, desire, and decay), and similar circumstances are evidence of matter’s service to unity. For opposites only serve unity.
