NEWS: Have you not seen how Allah drives the clouds, then joins them together, then piles them up? Then you see the rain coming out from between them. He sends down mountains (like clouds) from the sky filled with hail, striking with it whom He wills and turning it away from whom He wills; the flash of its lightning nearly takes away the sight.

NEWS: The invention of radar
Even before the invention of radar, there had been many different attempts of this kind. In 1904, Christian H. Ismeyer developed a system that used continuous radio waves to determine the location of objects in order to prevent shipwrecks during sea voyages. Scottish inventor John Logie Baird succeeded in identifying materials using electromagnetic waves in 1926. German inventor Rudolf Kühnold also invented a device in 1933 that used radio waves to detect objects. After all these inventions, Robert Watson-Watt discovered the first radar in 1935, which both detected objects and measured their distance. Only after this invention was it fully understood what stages influence the formation of rain. The Quran described how rain falls 1304 years ago.
After learning how rain falls, researchers who studied how it forms determined that it consists of three main stages.
The formation of wind, the emergence of clouds, and the appearance of raindrops… These stages are all explained in another verse as follows.
Allah (c.c.) says:
Allah sends the winds, so they raise a cloud, then spread it in the sky as He wills, and break it into fragments; then you see the rain pouring forth from it. When He gives it to whom He wills of His servants, they rejoice immediately. [238]
The phrase “Allah sends the winds…” is scientifically explained as follows: The foam in the salty ocean waters bursts with the formation of air bubbles and is carried upward by the winds as water droplets. These water droplets then form clouds with ice crystals or mixtures thereof. The verse continues, ” , He raises a cloud, spreads it in the sky as He wills, and breaks it into fragments…” presenting scientific data about the second universe: Water droplets inside clouds remain suspended in the air because they are very small, measuring only 0.01-0.02 mm. Then these water droplets spread across the sky as they wish, and the sky begins to be covered with clouds. The verse continues, “Finally, you see rain pouring down from it,” pointing to the final stage that completes the formation of rain: These water droplets, suspended in the sky, condense and form raindrops. After this formation, the raindrops become heavier than the air and begin to fall to the ground.
