User Manual Production stage and rulesThe Holy Quran: Creation and Rules

(He) is the unique creator of the heavens and the earth. When He wills something, He only says to it, “Be,” and it is.[312]

It is He who created you from clay, then decreed your time of death. And with Him is a fixed term (the Day of Judgment). Yet you still doubt. [313]

Your Lord is Allah, who created the heavens and the earth in six days, then established Himself on the Throne. He covers the day with the night, which pursues it relentlessly. The sun, moon, and stars are subject to His command. Know well that creation and command belong to Him alone. Allah, Lord of the worlds, is the Most High.[314]

Allah created the heavens and the earth with truth. He covers the day with the night, and He covers the night with the day. He has subjected the sun and the moon to His command, each running its course for a specified term. Know that He is the Mighty, the Forgiving.[315]

We have created everything according to a measure.[316]

We have created everything in pairs so that you may reflect and take heed.[317]

Let man consider from what he is created![318]

Those who are taught the Torah but do not act upon it are like a donkey carrying books on its back. How terrible is the situation of those who deny Allah’s verses. Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.[324]

No one but those who are thoroughly purified may touch it.[325]

Truly, this Qur’an is a reminder for you and your community, and you will be held accountable for it.[326]

The story of Adam’s (as) son

O Muhammad, tell them the true story of Adam’s two sons. They both offered a sacrifice, but one was accepted and the other was not. When the one whose sacrifice was not accepted said to his brother, “I swear I will kill you,” the other brother said: Allah only accepts the worship of those who are pious. If you raise your hand against me to kill me, I will not raise my hand against you to kill you. For I fear Allah, the Lord of the worlds. I want you to bear both your sin and my sin and be among those destined for Hell. This is the punishment of the oppressors. Despite this, the other brother gave in to his desires and killed his brother, thus becoming one of those who suffered loss. Upon this, Allah sent him a crow scratching the ground to show him how to hide his brother’s body from sight. When the brother who killed his brother saw the crow scratching the ground, he said, “Woe is me! Am I not even as good as this crow, unable to bury my brother’s body?” And he became one of those who regretted what he had done.[329]

The news of Noah’s (a.s.) son

The ship sailed on, carrying its passengers amid waves as high as mountains. At that moment, Noah called out to his son, who was standing on the shore, “My son, board the ship with us; do not remain among the disbelievers.” His son replied, “I will take refuge on a mountain that will protect me from the waters.” Noah said to him, “Today, no power can save you from Allah’s command; only those whom He spares will be saved.” Just then, a wave came between them, and Noah’s son joined the ranks of those who drowned.[330]

The story of Noah’s (as) and Lot’s (as) wives

Allah gave the example of Noah’s wife and Lot’s wife to those who disbelieve. They were married to two righteous men from among Our servants, but they betrayed them. Their husbands could not protect them from Allah in the least. It was said to these two women, “Enter the Fire with those who enter it.”[331]

The story of Hud (as) and his people, the ‘Ad

We sent Hud to his people, the ‘Ad. He said, “O my people, worship Allah; you have no other god but Him. You are nothing but inventors of falsehood.”[332]

The story of the garden owners

We tested them as We had tested the garden owners before. They had sworn that they would gather its produce in the morning, unseen by anyone. They made no exceptions. But while they were asleep, a plague sent by their Lord enveloped the garden. The garden had turned completely black. In the morning, they called out to each other, “Come on, if you are going to gather the produce, go to your fields early.” Then they walked and whispered to each other, “Let no poor person enter the garden today and come near us.” They went early, confident that they would gather the produce. But when they saw the garden, they said, “Surely we have lost our way.” No, indeed, we have been deprived. The middle ones said, “Didn’t I tell you? Shouldn’t you have glorified Allah?” They said, “We glorify our Lord; indeed, we have wronged ourselves.” Then they began to blame each other. Finally, they said, “Woe to us! We were truly transgressors.” Perhaps our Lord will give us something better than this; indeed, we now ask of our Lord.[333]

The story of the people of Thamud, the people of Salih (as)

Indeed, We sent their brother Salih to the people of Thamud, saying, “Worship only Allah.” But behold, they were two hostile factions. [334]

The people of Thamud and ‘Ad denied the coming of the Hour. Therefore, the people of Thamud were destroyed by a terrible sound. [335]

The story of the people of Ress

We destroyed the ‘Ad, the Thamud, the people of Ress, and many generations in between. [336]

The story of the people of Sedum, the tribe of Lot (a.s.)

Lut (his people) also denied the (messengers) who were sent. [337]

Lut said to his people, “Will you commit such an abomination even though you see it clearly?” [338]

His people replied, “Drive Lut and his family out of your city. They are people who want to remain pure.“[339]

The story of Joseph (a.s.)’s brothers

In the story of Joseph and his brothers, there are many lessons to be learned for those who examine the inner workings of this event. Joseph’s stepbrothers said, ”Our father loves Joseph and his full brother more than us. But we are many and strong. There is no doubt that our father is clearly wrong.” Kill Joseph, or leave him in a deserted place; then you will be your father’s unrivaled favorites, and afterward you will repent and become good people. One of the half-brothers said, “Do not kill Joseph; if you must do something, throw him into the bottom of a well, and let one of the passing caravans take him out.” Upon this, the half-brothers said to their father, “O our father, why do you not trust us regarding Joseph? We only want what is best for him. Send him with us tomorrow to the countryside; let him eat, drink, and enjoy himself, and we will certainly keep an eye on him.“ Their father said, ”It pains me to send him away; I cannot bear his absence; moreover, I fear that a wolf may snatch him away without you realizing it.” His half-brothers said, “Even with so many of us, if a wolf takes him, we are doomed.” When his brothers decided to take Joseph to the pasture and throw him into the bottom of a well, We revealed to him, “In time, when they least expect it, you will remind your brothers of what they did to you.” When evening came, they came to their father weeping. They said, “O our father, we went racing, leaving Joseph with our belongings, and the wolf snatched him away. Even if what we say is true, you will not believe us.” They brought Joseph’s blood-stained shirt. Their father Jacob said, “It seems your souls have led you into a terrible deed. What is required of me is patience. I seek refuge in Allah from what you say.”[340]

News of the people of Madyan, the tribe of Shu’ayb (a.s.)

We sent their brother Shu’ayb as a prophet to the people of Madyan. Shu’ayb said to them, “O my people, worship Allah; you have no other god but Him. A sign has come to you from your Lord. Be fair in measure and weight, and do not deprive people of their goods. Do not cause corruption on earth after it has been set in order. If you are believers, this is the right course for you.“[341]

His arrogant people said, ”Either we will drive you and those who believe with you out of our city, or you must return to our religion.“ Shu’ayb said to them, ”Even if we do not want to?”[342]

The story of the Tubba tribe

The people of Eyke and the Tubba tribe. They all denied the messengers, so My threat became true (upon them).[343]

The news of Pharaoh and his people

Then, after them, We sent Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his leading circle, but they wronged him. See how the corrupters ended up.[344]

Pharaoh became arrogant in his land and oppressed the people, dividing them into classes. He weakened one group (the Children of Israel), slaughtering their sons and sparing their women. For he was one of the corrupters. We wanted to bestow favor upon those who were weakened in that land, make them leaders, make them heirs in place of others, and make them rulers in that land. We wanted to show Pharaoh, Haman, and their soldiers what they feared would befall them.[345]

The news of Pharaoh’s family

Indeed, warnings came to Pharaoh’s family (and his entourage and tribe).[346]

Haman’s news

Pharaoh said, “O Haman, build me a lofty tower that I may attain to the ways (paths).” I will ascend to the ways of the heavens and look at Moses’ god. For I consider him (Moses, in his claim to prophethood) a liar. Thus, his evil deed was made attractive to Pharaoh, and he was led astray. Pharaoh’s scheme was completely in vain.[347]

The story of Moses’ (a.s.) people

When they encounter good, they say, “This is from ourselves.” But if evil befalls them, they attribute it to the misfortune of Moses and his companions. Yet the authority to determine their fate belongs solely to Allah, but most of them do not know this.[348]

The story of Samiri

Then Moses said, “O Samiri, what was your intention?” Samiri said, “I saw what they did not see. I filled my hand from the footprints of the divine messenger who came to me and threw it into the pot of molten gold. It seemed good to me to do this.“ Moses said to him, ”Get out of my sight.“ You are condemned to say ”Do not touch me” to people for the rest of your life. You also have another punishment from which you will never escape. Now see what will happen to the god you continue to worship. We will melt it in the fire, then throw its pieces into the sea. In fact, your god is Allah, who has no other god besides Himself. His knowledge encompasses all things.[349]

The story of Qarun

Qarun was from the tribe of Moses. He had rebelled against them. We gave him such treasures that a strong group of people could barely carry their keys. His people said to him, “Do not be arrogant, for Allah does not love the arrogant.” Seek the home of the Hereafter in the wealth Allah has given you, and do not forget your share of this world. Do good as Allah has done good to you, and do not seek corruption on earth, for Allah does not love the corrupters. Qarun said, “This wealth was given to me only because of knowledge I possess.” Did he not know that Allah had destroyed many people who were stronger than him and had more followers than him? The guilty will not be asked about their sins, for Allah knows them. Qarun appeared before his people in all his pomp and splendor. Those who desired worldly life said, “If only we were given the like of what Qarun has been given! Truly, he is a man of great wealth.” But those who had been given knowledge said, “Woe to you! What Allah has given to the believers who believe and do good deeds is better. Only those who are patient will attain it.” Finally, We caused him and his palace to sink into the earth. He had no group to help him against Allah. Nor was he one of those who could save himself.[350]

The story of the Children of Israel (Jews)

Remember when We took a covenant from the Children of Israel, saying, “You shall worship none but Allah; be good to your parents, relatives, orphans, and the needy; perform the prayer; and give alms.” But then, except for a small minority, you broke your covenant. You continue to do so. We also took an oath from you that you would not shed each other’s blood or expel each other from your homes. You accepted this with your own testimony. Despite this, you kill each other and expel some of you from their homes, collaborating among yourselves to commit sin and injustice against them. You expel them even though it is forbidden, and then when they come to you as captives, you ransom them. Or do you believe in part of the Book and reject part of it? The punishment for those among you who do this is nothing but misery in this worldly life. On the Day of Resurrection, they will be among the most severely punished. Allah is not unaware of what you do. These are people who have traded the Hereafter for the life of this world. Therefore, their punishment will not be lightened, nor will they be helped.[351]

The news of the vineyard owners

Tell them the story of these two men as an example. We gave one of them two vineyards, surrounded them with date palms, and placed a grain field between the two vineyards. The vineyards yielded their fruit generously, withholding nothing. We also made a river flow between the two vineyards. The man had abundant wealth. Therefore, during the argument, he said to his friend, “I am wealthier than you, and my family is larger than yours.” This man, who had wronged himself, entered his garden (taking his friend with him) and said, “I do not think this garden will ever perish. I don’t think the Day of Judgment will come. But if I am returned to my Lord, I am sure I will meet a better fate there.“ His friend, continuing their argument, said to him, ”Are you denying Allah, who created you from dust, then from a sperm drop, and finally formed you into a human being?” As for me, my Lord is Allah. I will never associate anyone with Him. Actually, when you entered your garden, you should have said, “Mashallah, true power belongs to Allah alone!” You see that I have less wealth and children than you. But my Lord can give me better than your garden and turn your garden into a bare plain by a calamity from the sky. Or the water of your garden could seep into such deep layers of the earth that you would never have the strength to search for it again. Then, all the produce of his garden suddenly vanished. Faced with the ruins of his destroyed vineyards, he lamented the loss of his investment, beating his hands and knees, saying, “If only I had not associated anyone with my Lord.” [352]

News of the Queen of Sheba

Then, before long, he came and said, “I have found what you could not find out, and I have brought you certain news from Sheba.” “I found a woman ruling over them, and she has been given everything in abundance and has a great throne.” “I found her and her people abandoning Allah and prostrating themselves to the sun. Satan has made their deeds seem fair to them and has kept them from the path, so they are not guided.” [353]

News of the Christians

We had also taken a firm covenant from those who said, “We are Christians.” But they forgot the major part of what they were reminded of. So We cast enmity and hatred among them until the Day of Resurrection. Allah will soon inform them of what they have done.[354]

The news of the city people

Tell the people about the city people to whom the messengers came. We sent two messengers to them, but they denied them, so We reinforced the messengers with a third. They said, “We are messengers sent to you.” The city people said, “You are just like us. The Most Gracious has not sent down anything. You are only lying.“ The messengers said, ”Our Lord knows that we are messengers sent to you. Our duty is only to deliver the message clearly.“ The townspeople said, ”Truly, we have been afflicted with misfortune because of you. If you do not desist from this, we will surely stone you, and a painful punishment will befall you from us.“ The messengers said, ”The misfortune is from yourselves. Did this misfortune befall you because you were admonished? No, you are an excessive people.” [355]

The news of Abu Lahab and his wife

May Abu Lahab’s two hands perish, and they have perished! His wealth and what he earned did not benefit him. He will be burned in a blazing fire. His wife will be a wood carrier, with a rope of sturdy palm fiber around her neck.[356]

The news of the Bedouins

The Bedouins said, “We have believed.” Say, “You have not believed; but say, ‘We have submitted (become Muslims or surrendered).’” Faith has not yet entered your hearts. If you obey Allah and His Messenger, He will not diminish anything from your deeds. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.” [357]

News of Muhammad (s.a.w.) and his wives

O Prophet! Tell your wives: If you desire the worldly life and its adornments, then come, I will provide you with a generous settlement and release you with kindness. But if you desire Allah and His Messenger and the home of the Hereafter, then know that Allah has prepared a great reward for those among you who do good. O wives of the Prophet! Whoever among you commits a clear immorality, her punishment will be doubled. This is easy for Allah. But whoever among you obeys Allah and His Messenger and does good deeds, We will give her double reward, and We have prepared for her a generous provision in Paradise. O wives of the Prophet! If you fear Allah, you are not like other women. Do not speak softly, lest those with sickness in their hearts harbor evil thoughts. Speak with gravity and dignity. Stay in your homes; do not display yourselves like the women of the pre-Islamic era. Pray, give zakat, obey Allah and His Messenger. O People of the House, Allah desires to remove impurity from you and purify you completely. Remember Allah’s verses and wisdom recited in your homes. Indeed, Allah is Subtle, All-Aware.[358]

Remember when the Prophet confided a secret to one of his wives. Then she disclosed it, and Allah revealed it, so he disclosed part of it and withheld part of it. When she informed him, he said, “Who told you this?” He said, “The All-Knowing, the All-Aware (Allah) informed me.” If you (the Prophet’s two wives) repent to Allah, it would be good for you, for your hearts have deviated. But if you support one another against him, then Allah is his protector, and Gabriel and the righteous among the believers. And after them, the angels are his supporters.[359]

The revelation of this Book is from Allah, the All-Mighty and All-Wise. Be assured, We have revealed the Book to you with truth. Therefore, worship Allah alone, dedicating your religion purely to Him. Know well that the pure religion belongs to Allah alone. Those who take other friends besides Him say, “We worship them only to bring us closer to Allah.” Surely Allah will judge between them concerning that in which they differ. Allah will not guide the liar and the ungrateful.[360]

It is He who has sent down this Book to you. Some of its verses are decisive (muhkem), forming its essence. Others are open to interpretation. Those with deviant hearts pursue the ambiguous verses of this Book to cause discord and make arbitrary interpretations. Yet only Allah knows their true meaning. Those with deep knowledge say, “We believe in this Book; it is all from Allah.” Only those with sound minds can comprehend this.[361]

This is a Qur’an in Arabic, clearly explained for a people who know its verses. It is sent as a bringer of good news and a warner. But most people turn away. They no longer hear the truth.[362]

This is a Book about which there is no doubt. It is a guide for those who fear Allah.[363]

This (Quran) is a blessed reminder that We have sent down. Now, do you deny it? [364]

Exalted is Allah, who has sent down the Furqan to His servant as a warning to the worlds.[365]

This is a book revealed to you so that you may warn (people) with it and as an admonition to the believers. So let there be no distress in your heart over it.[366]

KUser Manual Maintenance and RepairThe Holy Quran REPENTANCE and PATIENCE

Repentance

But as for those who repent, reform themselves, and explain (what has been revealed), I will accept their repentance. I am the Acceptor of Repentance, the Merciful. [367]

Then flow from where people flow. Seek forgiveness from Allah. For Allah is the Forgiving, the Merciful. [368]

But whoever repents and believes and does righteous deeds may hope to be among the successful.[369]

O you who believe! Turn to Allah with sincere repentance. It is hoped that your Lord will cover your evil deeds and admit you to gardens beneath which rivers flow on the Day when He will not disgrace the Prophet and those who believe with him. Their light will run before them and on their right, and they will say, “Our Lord! Perfect our light for us and forgive us, for You are All-Powerful.”[370]

Patience

Seek help from Allah through patience and prayer. Indeed, this is difficult except for those who are humble before Allah.[371]

O you who believe, seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, Allah is with those who are patient.[372]

We will surely test you with a little fear, a little hunger, a little loss of wealth, lives, and crops. Give good news to the patient. When a calamity befalls them, they say, “We belong to Allah, and to Him we will return.”[373]

Obey Allah and His Messenger, and do not quarrel among yourselves, lest you lose heart and your strength vanish. Be patient. Surely Allah is with those who are patient.[374]

We will surely test you with fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives, and crops. But give good news to those who are patient.[375]

Remember your Lord in the morning and in the evening, in a low voice, to yourself, with reverence, supplicating and in secret. Do not be among those who are heedless. Surely those who are near to your Lord do not disdain to worship Him; they glorify Him and prostrate themselves before Him.[378]

The full performance of the device can only be realized if it is identified in this way and if this identification can be transferred to life; then the desired service will be fully possible. Those who do not follow the guide will not be its advocates. There may be someone who explains it, but they will not be knowledgeable. Then neither the purpose nor the service of the device remains.
