Pre-Islamic Age of Ignorance: They deny Allah the Almighty and say that it is not Allah who kills us, but time. The Holy Quran describes this situation as follows. They said: Life is only what we live in this world. We die, we live. Only time destroys us. They have no knowledge of this matter. They only assume. ([583])

ISLAM: This worldly life is nothing but play and amusement. The real life is the life in the Hereafter. If only the disbelievers could realize this. [584]

Nowadays: Imam Ghazali[585] divides the philosophers who came before him into three groups. These are: Dehriyyûn (Materialists), Tabîiyyûn (Naturalists), and İlahiyyûn (Metaphysicians). Following this classification, Gazzali briefly and concisely summarizes their ideas as follows: They are a group of the earliest philosophers. They denied the existence of a creator who governs the universe and is omnipotent. They claimed that the universe did not come into being through a creator, but rather existed from time immemorial, that living beings came into being from semen, semen from living beings, and thus continued eternally. These are heretics.

Dehrilik is a type of atheism. When atheism is examined in two stages, negative and positive: Negative atheism considers the existence of God possible in principle but rejects it on the grounds that there is no visible reason for its existence; positive atheism, on the other hand, does not consider the existence of God possible.

In negative atheism, there is no claim, only a rejection. In positive atheism, there is both a rejection and a counterclaim. The negative atheist approaches it by saying, “God may exist, but I will not accept this claim until it is proven.” The positive atheist, on the other hand, takes the approach that “God’s existence is absolutely impossible.” Since both ultimately converge on rejecting the concept of God, they are defined under the heading of “Atheism.” According to these approaches, they differ from the atheists we discussed in terms of denying resurrection. Categorically, these are negative atheists.

Those who worship time also manifest themselves in almost every area of life. These people may be communists ideologically, or they may be capitalists. A positive atheist, on the other hand, is simply a product of communist ideology. Both, as a result, live as if the Creator does not exist, causing their worldly and afterlife to be short-circuited. For this reason, it has been stated that they will be humiliated in their worldly life and suffer severe torment in the afterlife.

ALLAH (c.c.) says:

Those before them also denied the prophet, and a punishment befell them from where they did not perceive. Allah made them taste disgrace in this world. The punishment of the hereafter is certainly greater. If only they knew.

Dehr, in the dictionary, means the beginning of time, the life of the world, century, era. Dehris or Dehriyye are a group who take time as their basis and believe in the eternity of time and matter, accepting that events in the world occur only through the laws of nature.
